William Carlos Butler's Obituary
William Carlos Butler , 54 of Katy, Texas, passed away Monday, June 6th in Houston, Texas. William was born on January 8, 1962 in Bastrop Louisiana to Owen and Beverly (Cook) Butler. He graduated from Port Neches - Groves High School in 1980 and received his Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine from Texas Chiropractic College in 2008. He was a beloved professor at the Houston School of Massage and Lonestar Community College.
He was a life-long teacher with an insatiable appetite for knowledge. Nothing was above or beyond his curiosity. A known comedian with a wicked sense of humor, he was hardly seen without a smile or a raised eyebrow. William played guitar for over 30 years and had the most eclectic taste in music many of us have ever seen. He loved hot sauce, late-night ice cream, and most of all his beloved and beautiful wife Ivana. This kind and gentle soul is survived by his wife, Ivana of Houston, TX, parents, Owen C. and Fay H. Butler, of Mer Rouge, LA, daughters, Courtney Hull (husband Charlie) of Groves, TX, Melody Butler, of Groves, TX, Jaymi Mann, of Borger, TX, Martina Germany (husband Nick), of Katy, TX, and Simona Dudasova, of Katy, TX, brother, Mitchell Owen Butler, of Mer Rouge, LA, four grandsons, Ethan, Peyton, and Collin Hull, of Groves, TX, and Christopher James (C.J.) Mann, of Borger, TX and many extended family members and friends who cherish his memory. He is preceeded in death by his brother, Chris Taylor.
Dr. Butler has requested to be cremated, after organ donation. In lieu of flowers, loved ones have created a Go Fund Me page to help cover the sudden and unexpected expenses.
