Troy Richard Husmann's Obituary
Troy Richard Husmann, born August 16, 1964, passed away July 8, 2024, after a courageous fight with cancer. Troy was adopted by his parents Richard and Beverly Husmann as a newborn. Troy lived an extraordinary life exceeding all expectations. He worked hard to overcome his challenges to be involved in Special Olympics and the International Special Olympics. Traveling to New York with the ISO was one of his favorite memories. Troy attended school in Spring Branch ISD and then went on to a long career with A&E Reprographics; he was very committed to make sure all printing needs for Husmann Architecture went out perfectly. Troy loved the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, participating in numerous trail rides and even getting to participate in an opening rodeo parade. His other passions were listening to Reba McEntire; watching the food channel and the Harry Potter series; and anything to do with Houston’s professional sports teams, especially the Astros and the Texans.
Troy was preceded in death by his parents Richard Earl and Beverly Ann Lacy Husmann, and is survived by his sister Elizabeth Lacy Husmann, along with numerous cousins.
Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, July 19, 2024 in Brookside Memorial Park. Those wishing to make contributions may do so to the Texas Special Olympics at www.sotx.org
