Thomas James Grupa, 63, passed away due to heart issues in the intensive care unit at Woodlands Methodist Hospital surrounded by his loving family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Harold and Ann, brother Daniel and brother-in-law Clifford.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years Donna; children, Tommy and fiancee Haley, Melissa and husband Matt and their two children, Ava and Audrey; father and mother-in-law, Steve and JoDein; sisters, Marianne and husband Walter, Bernadine, Frances and husband Wayne; brothers, Patrick and David; sister-in-laws, Debbie and husband Bruce and Denene; brother-in-laws, Steve and wife Terri, and Shawn and numerous nieces and nephews.
Thomas was very proud of his two children and thought of his son-in-law as a son. He cherished his two grandchildren that brought him much joy. Thomas loved living in the country taking care of the cows and ranch. He could count cows with just a glance and could guess how many hay bales after one pass. He loved getting his hands dirty from sun-up to sun-down and took pride in his work. He was a man of many ideas and had a solution to any problem that came his way. He was known for his endless stories of grandeur that would keep you on the edge of your seat. Thomas will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
