Terry Lynwood Kent Jr.'s Obituary
With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of Terry Lynnwood Kent on June 17, 2023, at the age of 52. Just days before, the loss of his beloved eldest sister, Shani Kent. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Terry was born on August 4th, 1970, in Houston, Texas, to his loving parents, Judy Perrodin-Flanagan and Terry Kent Sr. As the eldest male and second among four siblings, Terry spent his formative years in Houston. After high school he embarked on a journey that led him to southern Florida, where he found his calling in the restaurant industry and held management positions.
In his role as a father, Terry was blessed with two daughters, Summer and Hailey, whom he cherished deeply. He shared countless precious moments with them, especially enjoying the water and the beach. Terry’s love for his children and grandchildren knew no bounds, and his presence in their lives brought immeasurable joy.
Later in life, Terry returned to his roots in Houston, where we tragically lost him unexpectedly. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories. Terry is survived by his mother, Judy Perrodin-Flanagan, and stepfather, Mike Flanagan, both of Houston, TX. Daughter, Summer Vargas of Alamogordo, New Mexico, and his grandchildren, Alakai Vargas and Adelina Vargas. Daughter Hailey Kent resides in Salt Lake City, UT. Brothers, Eric Kent of Dallas Tx, and Jason Kent Austin TX, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends.
During this time of profound loss, let us remember Terry Lynnwood Kent for the vibrant spirit he possessed, his love for his family, and the Gentle Giant he was.
Please, join us in a Celebration of the Life of Terry Kent on Friday, June 30,2023 @ 11:30am at Rasberry Family Funeral Home, 9034 Longpoint Rd, Houston, Tx 77055. Following the Celebration of life, there will be a Celebration Reception at the VFW Post #8790 1560 Veterans of foreign Wars WY, Second Floor, Houston Tx 77055
