Tanya Minnick's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tanya Minnick, 48,
of Houston, Texas.
She was born on October 25, 1975
She passed away after a long, hard fought battle with cancer on April 1,
2024 with family by her side.
Tanya was as a wild flower with a side of spit fire. She refused to take
anything from those not worth her time and loved her family fiercely until
the very end. She truly adored her two sons, Gaige and Raymond. She
was always so proud of them and said they were the only things she ever
did right. Tanya lived for her granddaughters and would have captured the
sun for them. She loved riding around in her jeep with family and her dogs.
She would ride out to lakes and parks- anywhere she felt the most free. We
will never know another soul like Tanya, she truly was one of a kind.
Tanya is survived by her two sons, whom she adored, Gaige and Raymond
Minnick; her daughters in law, Amber and Alexandra Minnick as well as 4
granddaughters: Ella, Enslee, Micah and Maggie Minnick.
She will be missed by her father, Ricky Leggett and wife Sonya as well as
her three siblings- her sister Stephanie Welch & husband Alvin; her brother
Kevin Leggett and stepsister Kassie King & husband Vincent.
In total, she leaves behind 11 nieces and nephews: Angelina Leggett,
Savanna Leggett, Jasmine Leggett, Tyler Leggett, Kevin Leggett Jr., Ethan
Welch, Courtney Salyer, Hunter Salyer & wife Summer; Mason Malmay,
Londyn Malmay and Lincoln King.
Tanya is preceded in death by her mother Brenda Leggett, grandmother
Arlene Rickman & husband Paul, Rosetta Storms, Jerome Bowen, Irma
Bittner, Claudie Lemons, Other B. Leggett & wife Ethel Leggett, Wayne B.
Leggett as well as Cheryl Thomas.
