Sue Ellen Edmonson Johnson's Obituary
Sue Ellen Edmonson Stampp Johnson was born and raised in Houston, Texas. After graduating
from Lamar High School and University of Houston, she taught in elementary school.
Eventually, she gravitated toward real estate - residential and commercial office leasing.
Sue Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Stokes and Lois Edmonson, and her
beloved daughter, Stephanie Stampp Weber. Having already received her angel wings, our Lord
invited Sue to join the party in heaven to be with her Stephanie, her precious friends and
family. Always available to help a friend, she loved people, music, games and fun. Sue Ellen
was the essence of a true southern lady; always smiling and kind. Her positive and uplifting
attitude was a magnet to all who knew her. She is survived by her devoted and loving
husband, Bud Johnson; son-in-law, David Weber and wife Amy; and brother, Jim Edmonson. Sue
was blessed with two amazing grandchildren, Chase and Clare Weber, who brought great joy to
her life. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 21 at First Methodist
Church West Campus, 10570 Westpark Dr., Houston, Texas 77042. In lieu of flowers, we kindly request donations be sent in Sue Ellen’s name to Golden Retriever Rescue in Houston, Tx or St. Jude’s Hospital.
