Stacey Kay Ward's Obituary
Stacey Kay Ward, age 56, passed away on January 9, 2023. She was born on September 9, 1966 in Houston, Texas. Stacey spent her childhood falling in love with books, especially sci-fi, fantasy and murder mystery series. Stacey spent her other spare time devoted to her childhood horse on her parents' ranch. She graduated from Westchester High School and attended Houston Community College. Stacey followed her passion with books and began a life-long career helping others grow their love with books at Katy Budget Books, where she became the store manager and buyer. She was active in many book clubs and sci-fi/fantasy conventions.
Stacey was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Sue Ward, and father, Jack Lyle Ward. She is survived by her brother, Scott D. Ward; half-sister, Jacquelyn L. Sollenberger; half-brother, J.L. Ward Jr.; nieces, Meagan Ward and Tiffani Powell; and her nephew, Marty Powell.
