Ruth Pauline Wuneburger Spence of Pasadena, Texas went to be with the Lord Monday December 31, 2018.
Ruth Pauline Wuneburger Spence was born December 9, 1932 in Paige Bastrop County Texas to Vanner and Lydia Wuneburger.
Ruth is survived by her children, Larry Spence of Webster, Texas, Paula Ruth Jaynes and husband Larry Jaynes of LaPorte, Texas. Brother, AJ Wuneburger and wife Barbara of Paige, Texas.
Nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, great great nephews and nieces, great great great nephews and nieces. Never having any grandchildren of her own, she had many many grandchildren and she was loved dearly. Ms Ruth, Aunt Ruth, Grandma Ruth.
Preceded in death by her sister Dorothy McPhaul and brother Billy Fred Wuneburger. Ms Ruth moved to Pasadena in 1954 and worked at Champion Paper. Champion is where she met Aldis Spence. After starting a family, Ruth decided to stay and take care of her family and always had children in her home for extra income.
After divorcing at the age of 40, she went to work at Thomas Ave Baptist Church as the custodian in which she took great pride in cleaning the Lords house. She retired after 35 years.
Ms Ruth was a long time member of Thomas Ave Baptist Church which is now Monument Baptist. She enjoyed working in the nursery and Mothers Day Out.
Her favorite was Golden Years. She loved preparing the food and fellowship with all that attended. She would always make sure that those that were home sick got food delivered to them.
After retiring, she enjoyed taking bus trips with Madison Job Senior Center. She was there at least 3 days a week. She loved being around people.
