Randy Lloyd Butler's Obituary
Randy Lloyd Butler, 59 of Dayton, TX passed away Saturday, February 4th, 2017 at Kingwood Medical Center after a brave battle with cancer. His loved ones were at his side. Randy was the youngest of five children born to Edward and Josie Louvine Butler on June 14th, 1957 in Liberty, TX. He graduated from Liberty High School and married Brenda Williamson when he was 21 years old. Randy spent his life in the Liberty and Dayton area and worked in the propane business for over 25 years. He was a gifted carpenter and had his own business remodeling and building homes. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and building model ships and cars. He loved hunting and fishing and spending his time outdoors. Randy planned great vacations for his family and always made sure there was plenty to do on each trip. He loved the Texas Hill Country and the Rocky Mountains. He was an avid Texans and Astros fan. Randy was preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Lefty Don Simons and sister, Wanda Butler.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Brenda Williamson Butler of Dayton; son, Toby Lynn Butler and wife Alisha of Crosby; daughter, Lacy Cherie Butler of Dayton; brothers, Eddy Butler and wife Cathy of Peyton, Colorado; Ricky Butler and wife Kathy of Huntsville; sister, Sharon Worley and husband Norm of Onalaska; sister-in-law, Linda Faye Williamson of Dayton; Grandchildren, Kiley, Candise, Shyann and Sable. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends.
Serving as Pallbearers are Toby Butler, Rocky Crain, Kris Howard, Lane Dryden, Chris Turner, Chase Cox, Cole Williamson and Greg Young. Honorary Pallbearer, Barry Gambil. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 12 noon until service time at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at New Work Family Worship Center in Liberty. The church is located at 2512 Grand Avenue, Liberty, Texas 77575.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 o'clock in the afternoon with the Rev. Chris Contreras officiating. Burial will follow at Cooke Memorial Cemetery in Liberty.
