Paul Junior Pasemann's Obituary
Paul Pasemann, Jr., 88, passed away on March 27, 2026 in Groveton, Texas. He was born on September 13, 1937 in Taylor, Texas, the youngest of 5 children to Mary (Schwarz) and Paul Pasemann. His childhood and young adulthood were spent around Hare and Thrall,Texas.
He told many stories of growing up on the farm, about the family birthdays and get-togethers and especially how he loved to raise pigs for the FFA. After high school he attended Blinn College in Brenham, Texas, and became the first male cheerleader in school history. After that, he graduated from Southwest Texas State Teachers College (currently Texas State University) with a degree in Agriculture. He met Judy Tallas at a local dance in Taylor, and they married soon after his graduation on June 29, 1963 in Taylor, Texas. They were married 55 years before her passing.
His profession for the majority of his life was a construction engineer; he worked for several companies over the years before starting his own company (Houston Testing Services, then renamed to HTS) in Houston, Texas.
Paul had many hobbies but had a passion for gardening, woodworking and fishing. He also loved to play dominos and cards. He spent many years helping to start and run the Tomball German Heritage Festival in Tomball, Texas. He was a longtime volunteer and Board member whose passion and commitment helped shape the success of the Tomball German Festival and the student exchange programs that have created lasting international friendships. His generosity, leadership, and warm spirit left a meaningful impact on everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him.
He is preceded in death by his wife Judy Tallas Pasemann, his parents, brothers Marvin Pasemann and wife Edna, Glen Roy Pasemann and wife Donna, sisters Della Miksch and husband Benny, LaVerne Bartosh and husband Walter Sr., and brother-in-law Jerry Wayne Tallas.
Paul is survived by sons, Mark Pasemann & wife Donna Tyson; Brady Pasemann & wife Sarah; and daughter, Melanie Pasemann, five grandchildren; Catherine, Matthew, & Daniel Pasemann, and Jessica & Nicholas Konikowski, dog, “Sally Boy,” sister-in-laws; Linda Pospisil & husband Jesse and Cindy Buzan & husband Greg, and numerous nieces & nephews.
He will be laid to rest at the Machu Cemetery in Granger, TX at a later date.
