Mildred Lynn Christian Barremore's Obituary
Mildred Lynn Christian Barremore, 94, went to be with the Lord on September 30, 2024 at 11:16pm. She was born on November 25, 1929 in Houston, Texas to Lillian May Griffin Christian and George Arthur Christian. She was a 1948 graduate of Reagan High School and then attended Sam Houston State University. Survivors include her daughter, May Lynn Barremore - McMindes and her husband John McMindes III, her grandson, Jacob Ryan McMindes, her niece, Dee Ashmore, her nephews, John Knox, Jr, Eugene Knox, and her cousin, Cheryl Anne Phillips.
Preceded in death by her son, John Thomas Barremore, her husband, Theo Calvin Barremore, Jr, her twin sister, Margaret Christian Knox, and sisters, Virginia Jo Christian Thompson, Betty Lou Christian Harris, Carol Christian Perkins, her mother, Lillian Christian and her father, George Arthur Christian.
Not only was Mildred’s maiden name Christian, but she was a devout Christian who loved Jesus with all her heart. She loved her family fiercely. She loved playing her piano especially classical music and reading her Bible. She was incredibly talented with a beautiful singing voice. She loved to dance as well. She adored her cats. She will be greatly missed and loved.
Mildred’s family and friends will gather for graveside services on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 11:30 am at Mount Tabor Cemetery in Madisonville, Texas
