Mary Ann "Sirey" Januhowski's Obituary
Mary Ann Januhowski passed away on May 7, 2016 in Houston. She was born on October 31, 1950 in Houston, Texas to parents, Andrew James Januhowski and Jannie Dorcz Januhowski. She is survived by her husband, Jack Sirey; daughter, Julie Sirey; son, Jason Sirey; brothers, Stan Januhowski and wife Erva, Andrew Januhowski and wife Theresa, and Edmond Januhowski and wife Sue; and grandchildren, Kayla Heine and Colton Sirey. Mary is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Mary was a people person. She was Positive, Spiritual, and one of the most beautiful people, inside and out, you will ever meet. Mary enjoyed her career. In her professional life, she was considered one of the top performing executive aides. She was admired by all her bosses and co-workers; so much so that many became lifelong friends. Mary loved to travel. She and Jack went to many destinations like Alaska, Mexico, Colorado, and other exciting places. The vacations were even more exciting when their grandkids, friends, or family joined them.
Mary also enjoyed other activities such as antique shopping, site seeing, crocheting, and cooking. Her home was filled with many fine antiques. She crocheted numerous items for her family and friends. Mary was also an excellent cook, and her food was enjoyed by all. She was a superb hostess and loved to entertain at the home she shared with Jack. Mary loved her church and the people that attended; Faith was so important to her. Mary's family will receive friends on Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 6 o'clock in the evening until 8 o'clock at Hardin Family Funeral Home in Houston. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 7 o'clock Thursday evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 10 o'clock in the morning at Assumption Catholic Church in Houston with Father Julian Gerosa officiating. Interment will follow At Brookside Cemetery in Houston.
Mary will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
