Mary "Bugsy" Rownd Raines
Mary Raines, age 84, born on April 11, 1936 in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, daughter of the late James Alonzo Rownd & Mamie Eliza Stone Rownd. She was a homemaker, enjoyed embroidering, reading, spending time with her family and serving the Lord. She was a member of Lazy Brook Baptist Church and loved her church family. Preceded in death by her loving husband William "Bill" Raines to whom she was married for 61 years and many brothers and sisters. Left to cherish her memories are her children Dennis Raines, Dane Raines (Donna), Darrell Raines (Beverly ) all of Houston, TX, Anita Parker (Greg) of Malvern, AR ; known as MawMaw to Crystal Holm (Joshua) of Mineral Wells, TX; Jeff Parker (Bethany) of Benton, AR; Justin Raines of Missouri City, TX, Alesha Kosey (Jeff), T. J. Raines (Kristi Wilson), Sunny Ward all of Houston, TX., seven great grandchildren: Rebecca & Ethan Holm, Logan, Jealyn, and Breann Kosey, Kiera Raines , Autumn Ward, sisters Cathy Saurage of Pecos, TX, Casey Collier (Sidney) of Pelahatchie, MS, Sister in law's Yvonne Bozeman of Baton Rouge, LA, Shirley Wise (John) of Ovilla, TX, Lena Rownd of Rockaway Beach, MO, Brother in law Ivan Fleniken of Denham Springs, LA. known as Aunt Bugsy to numerous nieces and nephews, and Mary to so many friends and loved ones.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Lazy Brook Baptist Church, Steel Hope Foundation, or your favorite charity.
