Mary Grace Hearndon's Obituary
Mary "Chela" Grace Hearndon 72, of Sealy, Texas made her final adventurous journey to our heavenly Lord on Friday, February 21, 2025 peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones.
Born February 20, 1953, in Seguin, Texas, to Andres, Sr. and Carolina Garcia Cevallos. She was the second oldest of six children.
Mary met her husband of 39 years in Brenham, Texas, while enjoying one of her favorite pastimes, Dancing. 5 months later Mary would wed Darrell Dewayne Hearndon on October 9, 1985. Her Gypsy Spirit would have them moving several times before settling down and making their home in Sealy, Texas, where they would raise three daughters.
Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. It showed in everything she did from sewing for her daughters to having tea parties with her grandchildren.
Her favorite pastimes were having her weekly sibling dates, playing LRC, gambling and spending time going on family vacations.
She is survived by her husband: Dewayne Hearndon, Daughter's: Suzzette (Dennis) Zapalac, Shannon (Chris) Kapla, Sheila (John) Smith.
All of Sealy, Texas
Eight grandchildren: Carolina (Omar) Zuniga, DJ (Shadoe) Johnson, Andrea (Reese) Weishuhn, Autumn (Nick) Rapsilver, Mackenzie Kapla, AshLynn (Kyler) Haley, John Smith, Jr, & Chris Kapla, Jr.
10 great-grandchildren: Delilah, Tallahassee, and Laramie Weishuhn, Dallas and Dakota Johnson, Kyler, Jr., Magnolia, & Iris Haley, and Birmingham and Beuchanan Rapsilver.
Siblings: Mary ''Beb'' Harrell, Carrie (Dwayne) Vitek, Freddie (Renea) Cevallos; sisters-in-law: Lala Cevallos & Rosa Cevallos and numerous family and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her first husband: James McFarlin, her parents Andres, Sr. and Carolina Cevallos, brothers Joe Cevallos, Sr. and Andres Cevallos, Jr., in-laws James and Mary Nell Hearndon.
