Manuel Sierra's Obituary
Manuel Sierra of Houston, Texas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the age of 89. Manuel is preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Conception Sierra, his brothers, Pete Jr and Henry, his sisters Lupe, Mary and Annie, and his daughter Mary Therese.
Manuel was a loving husband, father, uncle and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Angelica, daughters Annie Coffman (Ken), Helen Duskin (Michael), Carol Salva (Brad), Marianne Kosik, and grandchildren Aaron, Sean, Elizabeth, Kristina, Anthony, Nicholas, Angelica, Carmen, and Gwyneth. Also surviving are sisters Michaelena Guerrero, Angelina Sierra, Sally Montferrand, Margaret Govella, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Manuel and Angelica were married for over 60 years. He proudly served his country at the end of WWII in the United States Navy and in the Korean War in the United States Army. He built his career at Hughes Tool Company where he retired after 42 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, flying (and re-building) remote control airplanes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016 at 12 noon at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 11720 Joan Of Arc Drive, Houston, Texas, 77024.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Ken Coffman, Michael Duskin, Brad Salva, Kevin Kosik, Marcel Montferrand, Jr., and Phillip Govella.
Rite of Committal will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1101 Antoine Drive, Houston, Texas, 77055. Flowers will be received by the Hardin Family Funeral Home on Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.
