She was a member of Houston’s First Baptist Church and her life was a testament to her unwavering faith and her boundless love for serving others. Her entire world revolved around her cherished family, friends and her sincere commitment to fulfilling the unmet needs of anyone she encountered. Lucy held great pride in sharing her faith and love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was passionate about leading non-believers to Christ and teaching her children and grandchildren the importance of living a Christ-like life.

To address these challenges, she embarked on a mission to gather monetary donations, clothing, toys, food, and nursery items personally delivering them to those she met on the streets of Mexico. Her legacy of selflessness and empathy touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on those she encountered.
Lucy is survived by her children: Judy Quintana, Edgar Quintana and his wife Adriana, and Vianey Quintana Casarez and her husband Christopher, all residing in Houston. Pleasant, Leonor Covarrubias of Houston, Valentina Ordoñez of El Paso, Eva Lorena Ordoñez of The Woodlands, Cesar Manuel Ordoñez and his wife Mary of El Paso, Jorge Guillermo Ordoñez of Houston, and Mirna Ordoñez of El Paso.
