Laura Aurora Martinez's Obituary
Laura Aurora Martinez, born February 12, 1936, in Monterrey, Mexico, went to be with the Lord on April 11, 2023. She was the oldest of six children, a 1955 graduate of Incarnate Word Academy, a devout Catholic, and attended All Saints Catholic Church for many years. Laura was very proud of her Mexican heritage and enjoyed traveling, collecting jewelry, and a refreshing Coca-Cola.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Aurora Martinez Mengden, and her father, Carlos Anibal Martinez. Laura is survived by her siblings Carlos A. Martinez and partner Zollie Gallway, Irma Jimenez, Mike Martinez and spouse Andrea, Alex Martinez and spouse Mary, Elizabeth Kuehn and spouse Jimmy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express sincere gratitude for the incredible care she received from the professionals at the Village of the Heights Assisted Living Center and Pax Et Vita Hospice Agency.
A Rosary will be recited at 10:25 am in the sanctuary of All Saints Catholic Church, with a Mass of the Resurrection to follow at 11 am. Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Earthman's Resthaven Cemetery.
