Kristen Danell Brunson, 45, of Spring, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 25, 2025, in Houston, Texas.
Kristen was a loving mother of her two children who were the light of her life. A loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and a cherished friend to everyone she met.
Born on November 30, 1979, in Houston, Texas to James Daniel Brunson Sr. and Wilda Brunso (Sorrell). Kristen graduated from Klein Oak High School in 1998. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Daniel Brunson and Mary Wilda Brunson (Sorrell), and her brother, James Daniel Brunson, Jr. (Jimmy).
She is survived by her children. Daughter, Avery Kathleen Clendenin (Brunson), son in law John Clendenin, son Bradyn Wesley Brunson, her sister, Mary Patricia Read (Brunson), sister in law Karen Louise Brunson (Miller), several nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Lucy.
A vibrant and social soul, Kristen’s Christian faith guided her throughout her life. Her passion for music and theater brought joy to her soul. Her love for dogs was evident in the countless dogs she adopted throughout her life. Kristen was known to many for her annual tradition of baking pecan pies and bread
for families in her community. She was helpful to several in need, even as she struggled to find that same strength for herself. Kristen was Bradyn and Avery’s greatest fan, cheerleader, and coach. She loved and is so very proud of who they are becoming.
