There are some people who leave an undeniable mark on our lives—through their kindness, their wisdom, and their unwavering presence. Kevin a friend and coworker was one of those people. He dedicated 30 years of service, not just to the job, but to the people around him. I had the privilege of working alongside him since 2005, and in that time, he became more than a colleague—he was a mentor, a confidant, and most of all, a great friend.
Nothing was ever off-limits with any of us at work. Whether it was personal struggles, professional challenges, or matters of faith, we could talk about it all. He had a way of making everyone feel heard and supported, always offering guidance with sincerity and without judgment. Though he never sought management responsibilities, he had a hand in shaping the leadership of our workplace, training seven managers, myself included. His knowledge was vast, his patience endless, and his impact immeasurable.
When Kevin retired in 2022, I was truly happy for him. He had worked hard and earned the right to enjoy the next chapter of his life. It was a bittersweet moment, but we knew he was stepping into a well-deserved chapter of rest and joy with his family—whom we were blessed to know as well. His son, close in age to our own, was a reflection of the values and love that he poured into his home, just as he did in his work and friendships.
Losing Kevin is a deep sorrow, but we take comfort in the memories, the lessons, and the laughter he shared with us. He was a man of integrity, wisdom, and heart. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on in the lives he touched.
We continue to pray for his family and for all of us who were fortunate to know him. Until we meet again, my friend—thank you for everything!
