Katherine Lucile Beal's Obituary
Katherine Lucile Fletcher BEAL peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 31, 2015. Born March 1, 1933 to Dee and Gladys Fletcher (who passed away shortly after giving birth) and raised with Virginia Fletcher as her own, who preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, J. Arlie Beal and her brother Bobby Fletcher. She is survived by her children; Stacie and her children (with Joe Vrecenar - James and Ryan); Raymond, Takako, and their children (Anthony,Dean, and Shinta), Shannon and Brad Seale and their child (Katie), Sharla and Richard Young II and their children (Sarah, Richard, and Michelle) ; Her brother Calvin Fletcher and his family, the family of Bobby Fletcher and a multitude of family and friends. Kathy worked for Houston Grinding and Mfg. for 30 years, attended Woodhaven Baptist Church for 20 years after moving to Houston and later Spring Woods Baptist Church for the last 27 years. She volunteered with the Spring Branch Memorial Sports Association for several years with her children. Since her retirement in 2000 she had been an active part of the Spring Woods Baptist Church Growing God's Way Mother's Day Out program until 2011 when her health began to fail. The family would like to thank Sid Gerber, the owners of Fossil Exhibits International, the caregivers and most especially Sandra Cooper for her caregiving services. A memorial service will be held at 11am Monday, April 6 at Spring Woods Baptist Church, 10131 Emnora Ln. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be given in her honor to www.usWoundedSoldiers.com. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
