Juanita Pearl McMullen's Obituary
Juanita Pearl McMullen, 79, of Huffman went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 18, 2015. She was born on May 9, 1936 in Earth, Texas to parents, Jonathan Jesse Barlow and Lillie Pearl Mitchell Barlow. She is preceded in death by her husband and the father of her children, Rev. Leon Smith; her parents, Jesse Barlow and Lillie Pearl Mitchell Barlow and 10 siblings. Some years after the passing of her husband, Rev. Leon Smith, Juanita found a life companion in Alfred “Mack” McMullen and enjoyed their life together until his passing. She is survived by her brother, Shorty Barlow of Earth, Texas; sons; Jonathan Clifton Smith and wife Sandy of Sherman, Texas, Jimmy Leon Smith and wife Denise of Campbell, Texas and Jerry Barlow Smith and wife Sue Anne of Huffman, Texas; daughter, Lili Juanine Smith of Hufman, Texas; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson due on June 1st. Juanita is also survived by her loving step-children, Gary McMullen, Sr. and wife LaDonna, Dale McMullen and wife Susan and Pennie Burkhalter and husband Ricky; 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members that she loved dearly.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 beginning at 6:30 in the evening at First Baptist Church of Huffman located at 25503 FM 2100 at Iron Ore Road in Huffman, Texas 77336. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 10 o’clock in the morning at First Baptist Church of Huffman with the Rev. Mike Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Huffman Cemetery in Huffman.
Honoring their grandmother serving as pallbearers are; Jerod Smith, Jason Smith, Jeffrey Smith, Jonathan Smith, Nick McMullen, Gary McMullen, Jr., Les McMullen, Kory Burkhalter and Dylan Jenkins.
