Jose Luis Carrera's Obituary
Jose Luis Carrera, 55 of Houston, passed away on August 17, 2016. He was born on August 3, 1961 in Port Lavaca, Texas to parents, Andres Espinosa Carrera and Matilde Solis Carrera. Jose was one of the greatest fans of the Houston Texans. He loved everything about them and watched every game. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. Being a natural outdoorsman, Jose enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and anything connected with the outdoors. He was a very hard working man who loved helping friends and family with anything they needed. It was said that he would give you the very shirt he was wearing if you needed it.
Jose is survived by his wife, Socorra Alicia Carrera; daughters, Mayela Carrera and husband Adam Hernandez and Brenda Espinosa and her husband Sandro; step-sons, Alex Armendanz and Juan Armendanz; step-daughters, Gabriela Lucera and Marcela Armendariz; 4 sisters; 3 brothers; grandchildren, Adam Hernandez, Alexis Hernandez, Camila Lucero, Marcela Hernandes, Andrea Lucero and Abigail Hernandez. Jose is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
The family will gather for a time of visitation from 4 o’clock in the afternoon until 8 o’clock in the evening at Hardin Family Funeral Home on Friday, August 19, 2016. A Celebration of Jose’s life will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 1 o’clock in the afternoon in the chapel of Hardin Family Funeral Home.
