Joaquin "Pete" Lopez III's Obituary
Joaquin “Pete” Lopez III of Houston, TX passed away unexpectedly on September 20th, 2023. Joaquin, fondly known as Pete, was born to Joaquin “Pete” and Mary Lopez on October 1st, 1973. Peter graduated from Klein Oak High School in 1992 and went on to attend Sam Houston State University. He joined the Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity, where his brothers became lifelong friends. Peter graduated in 1997 with a bachelor’s in psychology and began his adventures. He moved to Colorado, where he welcomed the first of his 4 girls, Jillian Avery Lopez, in 2001. He had the surprise of his life, when he welcomed his triplet girls, Piper Corrinne Lopez, Hayden Elyse Lopez, and Kynsey Reese Lopez, in 2004. He found the love of his life, Joanne Pittman Lopez, and they were married in August 2021.
Peter is survived by his lovely wife, Joanne, and his beautiful daughters, Jillian, Piper, Hayden, Kynsey and Camdyn, and his fur-babies, Brody and Mavis. Also survived by his parents, Joaquin and Mary Lopez, his sister and her husband, Sandra and Patrik Ziegler, along with his niece and nephew, Viviana and Sebastian Ziegler. He is also survived by his grandmother, Carmen T. Garza, and countless loving family members and friends.
Other than loving his family, he loved his hometown and was an avid sports fan. Whether it be cheering on the Astros, Texans, or SHSU Bearkats, Pete was a super fan and loved to tailgate. He also showed his immense love through food and belonged to several foodie groups on social media. You could count on having a good laugh with Pete, he was always ready with a joke or funny story. He would do anything for a laugh and anything for those he loved.
He had a great ability to make others smile and his enormous heart will be greatly missed.
