Jo Anna Perez's Obituary
Joanna Luera Perez passed away peacefully at her home in Houston, Tx on May 7th, 2024
She was born in Houston, Tx on July 13th, 1963 to Eliseo Luera and Louisa Solis.
She is survived by her children Samantha and Jonathan along with her grandchildren Zarian Hendrickson-Perez and Asha Gorham-Perez. Her passing is preceded by the passing of her eldest son Joel Andrew Perez, who passed away on April 17th, 2024.
Joanna devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. When she wasn’t loving her family, she was loving the lord. She loved to relax and watch movies with one of her many loving animals.
She was a lover of all things sweet, especially the red velvet cupcakes from Crave Bakery. She prided herself in rescuing and taking care of stray cats and giving them a loving home.
Her biggest achievement in life was the purchase of her home in April, 2011. Her dream was to have a place for her family to call their own when she went to go be with the lord. She will be able to rest peacefully knowing that her dream will be honored.
Her unique spirit and life story cannot be summed up in a few paragraphs. There aren’t enough words that can fully describe just how amazing and beautiful Joanna was. Her family will miss her loving spirit dearly.
In lieu of a funeral service, there will be a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
