James H. Bostick's Obituary
James Hairm Bostick, age 78, passed away peacefully on the evening of November 24th, 2025 with his wife, Mary Bostick, by his side, in Houston, Texas. His life is celebrated by family and friends, near and far.
James was born on April 19th 1947, in Trinity, Texas, to Leona Maria Bostick. He took a job as a baker at a donut shop at the age of 14 to support his family. This later became his career, and he owned North Street Donuts in Nacogdoches, Texas from 1973 to 1984. James was a talented baker who made a wide variety of donut styles, cookies, cakes, and pies. He later added sandwiches, hotdogs and Blue Bell ice cream to his menu. He then transitioned to Houston, Texas, taking a management position in the bakery at Fiesta Grocery Store, located on Wirt Rd. He worked for Fiesta for the next 23 years, managing several locations before retiring.
He is preceeded in death by his parents, Leona and Floyd Bostick, and brother Kenneth Bostick. He is survived by his wife Mary Bostick, son Roland and his wife Stephanie, and their children Merrin and Ryan, his daughter Wendy Bostick, and his brother Leroy Bostick, along with many nieces and nephews.
