Gerald Francis Herring's Obituary
Gerald Herring found peace on February 16, 2021, after a well-lived life. He proudly served his country and his family, offering great support and humor to those around him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Cora Herring and his uncle, Louis Mullen. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Herring; three sons, Jason, Johnathan and Christopher Herring; two grandsons, Ryan and Christopher Hughes; three brothers and their spouses, Jimmy Herring and wife Elizabeth, Charles Herring and wife, Tina, and Drew Herring and wife, Anna; one uncle, VJ Mullen; nieces, Melissa Belmonte and husband Eric, Courtney Schunneman & husband, Tyler, and Kelsey Herring; and a nephew Kyle Herring. He was loved by many extended family members and close friends.
Visitation will be at the Hardin Family Funeral Home, 9034 Long Point Dr., Houston, TX 77055, on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. A service will follow at 12:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at the VA Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038, at 2:15 pm. Masks are required at all events.
