Edna Barfield's Obituary
Edna (Diamond Keith) Barfield passed away peacefully on July 12, 2023 after her courageous 10-year battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Edna was born in Seattle, Washington on February 19, 1948. She moved to Texas at a young age and was a graduate of Hitchcock High School where she was also a cheerleader and class Secretary. Edna found her calling in life as a flight attendant for Continental Airlines; this 42-year career took her around the world to see breathtaking places and to meet some amazing people. The crews she worked with and the passengers she encountered over the years always acknowledged her dedication and first-class customer service. Her passion and excellence were evident by the endless number of comments, letters, emails, etc. from colleagues and customers alike, recognizing her for exceeding all expectations and her strong work ethic.
Edna loved unconditionally; her memorable smile was contagious and her positive outlook on life undeniable. She always saw the beauty in life and would want those she loved to remember and cherish the memories they made with her along the way. She is survived by her husband, Barry Barfield, son Chris Keith, daughter Megan Strange and her husband Jonathan, grandchildren Nate Keith and Mason Strange, sisters Margaret Angelos and April Beall, brothers Ferris Diamond and John Diamond and his wife Lynette. Along with many other close family members and the countless friends she loved, that loved her in return. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, brother-in-law Tony Angelos and sister-in-law Debbie Perry.
She will always be remembered for her kind heart and loving nature. She will live forever in our hearts. Always.
