Dorothy Mae Singh's Obituary
Dorothy Mae Stevens Frank Singh, 91, of Houston passed away on April 26, 2019 in Houston. She was born on April 17, 1928 in Ravenna, Nebraska to parents, Robert A. Stevens and Nellie Shrader Stevens. Known to her friends and family as “Dot”, “Red” or “Dorothy Mae”; she lived in St. Louis, MO where she met and married William Jack “Bill” Frank. Dorothy and Bill moved to Houston in 1950 where they raised their five children. On December 17, 1967 Bill passed away. In 1971, Dorothy met Ramcharan C. Singh and they were married the following year. On January 8, 2001, Singh also passed away. Dorothy was a long time employee of the Spring Branch Independent School District and also enjoyed reading and crafts. Every Christmas she made a stocking filled with goodies for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert A. and Nellie R. Stevens; husbands, William Jack “Bill” Stevens and Ramcharan C. Singh; son, William Robert Frank; grandson, William Kyle Frank; sister, Betty Lou Brussellbach and brother, Irvin J. Stevens. Dorothy is survived by her children, Kenneth Frank, Richard Frank, Barbara Gardner and Douglas Frank.; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren, brother, Dee Stevens and numerous other family members and friends. A Graveside service for Dorothy Mae Stevens Frank Singh will be held on Tuesday May 7, 2019 at 12 Noon at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston where Dorothy will be laid to rest beside her husband Bill.
