Dora Prado Martinez, 85, of Houston passed away January 9, 2018 at her home in Houston with her family at her side. She was born on July 21, 1932 in Houston, Texas to parents, Nicholas Prado and Maria Carrazals Prado. Dora is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Connie Stakes; brother, Lawrence Prado and son, Louis Lujan. Dora is survived by her daughters, Gloria Hernandez and her husband Jose, Delores Gutierrez and her husband Richard, Mary Ann Martin, Virginia Carnel and Rebecca Olvera and her husband Robert; sister Lupe Prado; son, Manuel Martinez; brothers, Arthur Prado and his wife Jan, Daniel Prado, Gilbert Prado and Nicholas Prado and his wife Eloise; grandchildren, Thomas Martinez, Dulce Olvera, Melissa Scott, Roy Guardiola, Kiko Lujan, Katerina Ktenas, Dora Martin, Nicole Martin, Elizabeth Martin, John Hernandez, Freddy Aguirre, Melissa Braughton, Kim Dacosta, Eddica Garcia, Eric Reynoso, Luis Lujan III, Chris Lujan; great-grandchildren, Thomas Jr., Gregory, Zeke, Aaron, Elon, Gian, Kayla, Sophia, Aria, Kristlyn, Freddy III, Bianca, Breanna, Edward, Christopher Jr., Marissa, Deven, Kaleb, Melanie, Markus, Joey Jr.,Alex, Aubree, Stevie, CJ, Lily, Sean, Chris Jr., Carissa, Savanna, Maxine, Mason, Valerie, Samantha, Jennifer, Clarissa,
Joshua, Chris, Jaden and Anthony “AJ”; Robin Loya and Mia as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 15, 2018 in the chapel of Hardin Family Funeral Home from 4 o’clock in the afternoon until 6 o’clock in the evening. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 6 o’clock. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 11 o'clock in the morning at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Houston. Interment will follow Mass at 1 o’clock in the afternoon at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston.
