Donald Gene Evans' Obituary
Donald Gene Evans, 69, of Houston passed away on January 20, 2017 in Houston. He was born on September 9, 1947 in Houston, Texas to parents: Gene Evans and Norma Stark Evans. Donald is preceded in death by his father, Gene Evans; brother, David Evans and sister Janelle Coleman. Donald lived his life in the Houston area and was a graduate of Milby High School. After high school, he attended college in Houston as well. He was a sports enthusiast having played men’s fast pitch softball. Donald also coached for many years for girls’ softball and boy’s football. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda Evans; mother, Norma Evans; children, Gina Williams and husband John and Jeffrey Evans and Mena Ramos; 2nd Children, Shanna, Christy and Lil Joe; grandchildren, Jaci, and husband Angel, Paige, Hanna, Brett, Madi, J., Heaven, Zoeymarie and Caleb; great-grandchildren, Mason, Paisleigh, Nathan and Camden as well as many extended family members and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 23, 2017 from 5 o’clock in the afternoon until 8 o’clock in the evening at Hardin Family Funeral Home in Houston. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 1 o’clock in the afternoon at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery in Houston.
