Dennis Edward Baxter's Obituary
To capture Dennis in writing is like trying to describe color to a blind person; he was just that big of a person. In essence, he was a man of God and lived to serve Christ in everything he did. He gave and gave without hesitation; Not once, but twice, he sheltered strangers on his front porch during a flood. He liked to drink beer in his garage, where he rooted for the Oakland Raiders, Chase Elliot, and the Kansas City Royals. He always had time for his two daughters, whom he loved beyond words. He treated every friend his girls brought home like they were his own kids, regardless of if it was for a day, or for life. He loved his friends and would have moved heaven and Earth for them. Dennis is pre-deceased by his son Benjamin; and is survived by his mother Sarah (Sue) Kennicutt, his father Russell Baxter, and his wife, Erma; his daughters Mikel and Missy, step-children Jeremy and Nicole, and numerous relatives and friends.
The family strongly discourages the sending of flowers and asks that those seeking to send them make a donation instead to John Knox Presbyterian, Dennis’s church home.
