Deborah Elaine McDowell, born on July 30, 1958, in Durham, NC, transitioned to Heaven on February 7, 2025, in Houston, TX. Deborah was a sweet, kind, generous, and understanding individual to everyone she met.
Deborah graduated from Hillside High School and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree from North Carolina Central University, followed by a Master of Divinity degree from Oral Roberts University.
Deborah cherished spending time with her family and engaging in heartfelt chats with her friends. Her faith was an integral part of her life, often expressed through prayer and praising the Lord, an activity that brought her immense joy and comfort.
Deborah is survived by her daughters, Demisha McDowell and Destanie Danelle McDowell; grandson, Adison McDowell-Engel; aunt, Mrs. Hazel Gillis; numerous loving cousins and an abundance of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ruth McDowell, and her brother, Henry McDowell Jr.
Deborah's loving nature and gentle spirit will be dearly missed by all of those her loved her.
