Daryl Wayne Phipps' Obituary
Daryl Wayne Phipps passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016, in Houston, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Electra, TX on November 4, 1956 to Jack and Orva Phipps. He was a 1975 graduate of Henrietta (TX) High School, where he received state football recognition. He was a veteran and served in the United States Air Force. He was an employee of Owens-Corning for 26 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack L. Phipps, mother, Orva Moore-Dozier, step-father, William “Sonny” Dozier.
Daryl is survived by his wife Phillis, and her children Jeremy Garcia, Josey Honeycutt, and Sunshine Rodgers, mother DeEtta Phipps, brothers Jack (Deborah) Phipps, M.L. Gossett, Curtis (Laura) Phipps, Bill (Jodie) Dozier, Boyce (Glenda) Dozier, and sister Collette Sellers, to include several aunts and uncles as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services to be held at Hope Cemetery in Henrietta, TX.
