Darrell Raines' Obituary
Darrell Raines, age 64 of Houston, TX said goodbye on Friday, June 20, 2025, as family and friends gathered. Darrell was born November 28, 1960, in Houston, TX to Bill and Mary Raines. Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Beverly; son, TJ Raines (Kristi); daughter, Sunshine Ivey (Zac); brother, Dennis; brother, Dane (Donna); sister, Anita (Greg). Four grandchildren, Kiera, Autumn, Ashlynn and Kara. Many other relatives and friends.
Darrell had a passion for working on cars, which naturally led him to a career as an auto mechanic. He spent many years turning wrenches alongside his dad and his brother, Dane, at their family-owned shop.
Outside the garage, Darrell found joy in the great outdoors. Fishing and hunting were his favorite pastimes, and he was just as skilled at spinning tales about “the one that got away” as he was at the sports themselves. Whether it was a fish “this big” or a deer “just out of reach,” Darrell’s stories were always part of the fun. Darrell will be missed by all.
