Charles "Charlie" Edward Casley's Obituary
Charles (Charlie) Edward Casley was born on January 10, 1939 in Houston, Texas to Charles Swann Casley and Helen Marie Buhler Casley. Charlie died in Houston, Texas on October 24, 2017, after suffering with kidney failure and other health problems. Charlie is survived by his wife of 29 years, Annette Peavy Casley; three children, Charlene Heillman and husband, James Heillman, Michael Casley and Stephen Casley; stepdaughter, Trena Tamburri; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Jeanne and Earl Logsdon; niece, Erin Bowers and nephew, Guy Crawford.
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife and mother of his children, Margaret Casley, his sister and brother-in-law, Joe and Leslie Crawford.
Charlie is a member of Lakewood UMC in Houston. Charlie was an avid reader. Charlie had a beautiful tenor voice. He loved singing in the choir at Terrace United Methodist church and in Piano Bars. Some of his fondest memories were of camping with a group of friends.
The family will receive friends, Monday evening from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Hardin Family Funeral Home, 9034 Long Point Road, a mile North of I-10 and Campbell. Funeral Services will take place 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Terrace United Methodist Church, 1203 Wirt Road, Houston, Texas, with Reverend Nancy Creason officiating. Burial will be in the Houston National VA Cemetery promptly at 1:15 P.M.
