Bobbye Jane Cartwright's Obituary
Bobbye Jane Cartwright, 86, passed away on February 22, 2018 at her home in Dayton, Tx. Formerly of Houston, Tx, Jane was born on November 20,1931 in Bay City, Tx to Fred Ernest Allen and Mamie Ada Crawford. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Travis Cartwright and Johnny Cartwright; her son-in-law James Todd and six siblings.
Jane worked several jobs to support her four children including a home child care business. Later in life she became a foster parent and fostered many young girls in her home. Not one to simply provide these young girls with a roof over their heads, she was instrumental in teaching them a strong work ethic and life skills needed to function on their own.
Jane was a former member of Community Baptist Church in Humble, Tx and is a current member of Grace Community Baptist Church in Dayton.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Todd & Pam Hardin and husband Jimmy; grandchildren; Tracy Dunaway and husband David, Jason Cartwright and wife Seresa, Deanna Marquez and husband Albert, Jennifer Soto, James "Bo" Hardin and wife Cassie, and Laura Bays and husband Chad.
Great grandchildren; Devyn and Shelby Dunaway, Breanna Canning and husband Toby, Colby and Ethan Marquez, Jace and Jaden Soto and foster daughter Alexia Rouse.
Janes family will receive friends on Friday, March 2, 2018 from noon until 2:00 pm at Grace Community Baptist Church in Dayton. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Grace Community Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Hardin officiating. Her family would like to thank the members of Grace Community Baptist Church for their outpouring of love during their loss.
