Barbara Sue Alexander's Obituary
Barbara Sue Alexander, age 88, had recently been saying that she was ready to go see Jesus and is now celebrating her first ever graduation since February 6, 2024 when she passed away. Barbara never graduated high school as she married at 17yrs of age and started her family right away. Her husband of 65yrs, Donald Cecil Alexander, preceded her death in 2019.
Barbara was born in Waco, Texas on December 14, 1935 and the only child of Daniel Walton Dudney and Thelma Sue Bates Dudney.
Barbara leaves behind 4 daughters, Donna Sue Nivens and her husband James Nivens, Deborah Louise Edwards and her husband Bill Edwards, Dannette Yvonne Dietz, and Patricia Arlene Hunt and her husband Mark Hunt, along with 8 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Also preceding her in death was her only son, Daniel Cecil Alexander, and her 2nd oldest daughter, Nancy Charlene Runnels.
Barbara was a lady of many talents. She raised 6 children, taught each of her daughters how to sew, some to crochet also. She loved horses and enjoyed horse back riding years ago. She loved animals of all kinds, mostly horses and dogs.
Barbara was an artist of many talents. She did numerous oil paintings, then later on worked with pastels for her artwork. She won several blue ribbons and other ribbons for her artistry work she exhibited in art shows. In her retirement years, Barbara taught art classes to home-school students in the Tomball Hobby Lobby store. Some of her art students remained in contact with her over the years. More recently, Barbara had started crocheting shawls, and passing them out to ladies at the church. She also taught her recent caregivers that worked with her in her home how to crochet. She enjoyed teaching.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Memorial Baptist Church, 22333 Kuykendahl Rd, Spring, Tx 77379, with a viewing to begin at 10 am.

The family wishes to extend to the Tomball HCA Hospital ER staff and the ICU staff for their excellence in providing care for Barbara during her recent hospital stay.
