Mr. Garner will truly be missed! He was one of my favorite customers at Trustmark Bank. He was always so kind and appreciative of my help. My condolences to the family.
My late husband, Mark Manglberger, and I lived on Cypress Creek for a while with our young children. Our dog loved people and heard Allan, Otis, and their friends having fun at the cabin so he just had to go visit. We discovered the dog there playing fetch with his new found friends and that was the beginning of a lifetime friendship. We spent hours swimming in the creek, floating the Frio, playing cards at the cabin, and riding 4-wheelers at his ranch. He let my kids bow hunt wild pigs there. We even went on a vacation together. More recently, Allan became friends with Gary Hughes, my current husband. They talked about a love of nature and Gary repaired his machines. We spent his last night having dinner in Leakey at his favorite local restaurant, Mama Chole’s. He shared stories about his crazy adventures including a recent attack by aggressive bees. He talked about how much he missed those gone before: his family, Mark, Karen, Scott. His was always kind and generous to my family. I am out of state and do not believe I can make his service. I am heart broken.
I am heart broken. I will miss the visits to my home with long talks and cooking for him and my husband. Allen loved to eat. He was so scared to have the heart surgery and we talked and talked and I went to over to be with him offen at his home to make sure he had food and company. I'll miss sharing great music and going to leakey with him.
Allen you will be so missed by nick and I.
I can see you in heaven at god table with great friends like your daddy, Scott, Karen etc laughing together and so many great times we all had together.
God hear my prayers of holding Allen,he was so Bible read like my husband and there were many conversations of you God and heaven and what his beliefs were.
Rest in peace my dear friend.
