I just found out about John's passing. When I first started in SEO, I reached out to John and we talked for almost an hour and a half about the business. I was a competitor, but he just loved to "talk turkey" about SEO and dental marketing.
I passed his eyeball test and we got a long. He'd call me every so often to check on me. He was a trip. I loved his frankness. He didn't sugarcoat things, which I really respected.
