Jesse M Granados

Jesse Granados, 54, passed away unexpectedly December 30, 2023 in Houston, Texas. Jesse was born June 27, 1969, in Dallas, Texas to Jesse and Sandra Granados. The first of three sons, his parents were overjoyed to welcome Jesse into the world. His grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis, came to visit from Florence, Alabama to welcome him, their first grandchild. From the time he was very small, Jesse had a mind of his own, a trait that stayed with him into adulthood. He grew up with two younger brothers, Fredrick and Orlando, and liked to teach them how to get along in the world. Jesse loved the Lord and dedicated his life to Him at a young age. He loved talking to others about his faith and sharing the good news with anyone who was willing to listen. In his teenage years, Jesse was very involved in his youth group and became a musician, playing the piano, bass and later the guitar. He often contributed to the worship team (NRG Youth). After graduating high school, Jesse became a youth pastor. Leading his youth group was one of the great joys of Jesse’s life, and he talked about it often through the years. It was Jesse’s motto to always leave things better than he found them. A natural-born salesman, Jesse found success in everything he attempted. He also enjoyed working in the restaurant industry and cherished the opportunity to build up and invest in people during his management years. For the last several years Jesse worked in the mortgage loan business as part of a team. He loved his work, and took great pride in helping his clients secure a loan for their dream home. Jesse loved his family. His favorite title was “Uncle Jesse” and his 5 nieces and nephews were his pride and joy. He loved supporting them in music and sports and was always the loudest fan in the stands! Some of Jesse’s favorite things were meeting new people, reading, grabbing any karaoke mic he could find, and friendly debate. He loved this country and was especially fond of the Pacific Northwest and his home state of Texas. You could always find him cheering on his favorite teams, the Longhorns (Hook ‘Em!) and the Dallas Cowboys. Jesse enjoyed using his culinary skills and creativity to make beautifully prepared meals for those around him. In every place he called home, Jesse could be found leading worship and drawing people into the presence of God. It was one of his greatest passions. Jesse is survived by his parents, Jesse and Sandra Granados, and his two brothers and their families: Fredrick, his wife Carrie and their children Kyler and McKale; and Orlando, his wife Rebecca and their children Katelyn, Cody and Isaac. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cross Lake Church (Cypress, TX) would be greatly appreciated.
