Linda Kay Gildersleeve Bray passed away peacefully in Katy, TX on June 6, 2023 at the age of 82. Born to Jack and Kay Gildersleeve on September 29, 1940 in International Falls, MN, she was the oldest of two. Linda moved to Whitti Read Obituary
Don and I just had opportunity to get acquainted with Jim and Linda this past year as they moved to Katy, Texas. As we became acquaited we realized that our paths had crossed once more. Many years ago, as young marrieds, we happened to live in the same Ward, the Long Beach Third Ward! Our memories do not recall actually meeting one another, but interestingly, we knew many of the same people. Jim was a student at Long Beach State College and we lived close by the college and were busy rasing a family.
It is interesing to note that we had known and loved their daughter, Cyndi for many years before we came tio know her parents. Cyndi and our daughter Ticia have been best of friends for many, many years. We were excited to get acquainted and to make a frendship with Jim and Linda!
The Katy First Ward has an Empty Nester's group and Jim and Linda attended until las November. They were just beginning to get acquaintd in the Katy First Ward and we knew they were very excited about their cruise to Hawaii! We were so sad to hear that their trip did not go as planned. It seemed from that time on, Linda was not well and we were sad to hear of her passing! Our love and blessings go to Jim and all their beautiful family. We will do our part to be good friends to Jim!
