Tina
Yesterday was one of the hardest days in a persons life. We had to say goodbye to our beloved Kathy. She Loved the Lord, family and friends.
She taught me what it meant to be a great mother, friend and sister.
As a mother she believed in volunteering ( many hours) and that not only were our children important so were all of the others. As a friend and sister she taught me that you don’t have to be born in a family to belong to a family. My children were like her children. We took care of each other.
As fate would have it, my birth sister passed and Kathy was like a second mom to my children when I was on the road so much between here and MD Anderson. For that I will be forever grateful. So when Kathy became sick a while back I got a chance to give back to her the care she gave my children and myself. The Lord knew what he was doing when he puts people in each other’s lives. He knew that her birth sisters would not be physically capable of the care Kathy needed so he sent me for them. I have been honored and blessed beyond words. I will miss my sister of choice.
With love
